The Countess of Arran resides at Castle Hill, her ancestral home in Devon, England. The 18-century estate house is situated in a noted landscape park and woodland garden. Magnificent statues and rare trees in the arcadian landscape are complemented by woodland plantings of magnolias, rhododendrons, and camellias, as well as carpets of spring-blooming bulbs. Lady Arran, an accomplished gardener and garden enthusiast, commissioned Chelsea Gold Medal-winning designer Xa Tollemache to create a Millennium Garden for Castle Hill. The result is a richly planted garden of herbacious borders featuring lavender and boxwood.
